Arne Slot offers worrying Liverpool injury update on Alisson and Diogo Jota

Liverpool boss has shared injury updates on and ahead of his side's clash with on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Alisson has missed Liverpool's last four games with a hamstring injury, while forward Jota has been sidelined he was when Blues defender Tosin Adarabioyo landed on him.

And Slot has confirmed that the pair will remain out of action until after November's international break. "Chiesa is not back before the international break. We are hoping he can do things in the international break then join us," Slot added. Liverpool are set to face Brighton for the second time in just four days, having on Wednesday.

"It's not that strange," The Dutchman said. "In the older European competitions you played the same team twice in a week. It's not as the two teams will start with different teams on Saturday which is a positive for both managers.

"Players make the team, so players are different. That changes the game on Saturday compared to Wednesday." Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler, meanwhile, is hopeful his side will be on Saturday.
