Arsenal have announced their new third kit ahead of the new Premier League season. The new predominantly white strip has gone on sale to supporters on Monday morning and follows a record-breaking week for the club’s commercial team.
The news of Viktor Gyokeres’ arrival at Arsenal sent shockwaves through the fan base. So much so that the Swede’s shirt sales with his name on the back have broken club records, eclipsing the sales of the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The new white shirt will now also be available for purchase with Gyokeres’ name and the names of any other senior squad members on its back. The new shirt’s white design features some coloured accents, which, of course, differentiate it from the ‘No More Red’ campaign shirts the club have worn in recent seasons.

It is the only one of the three kits this season to have a collar to it. The collar itself has two thin gold stripes running around it, with the border a burgundy colour.
These accents are also featured on the sleeve cuffs. The trademark Adidas shoulder stripes are also in burgundy, which harks back to a similar shirt worn in 2008/09. Fans might remember it as the kit Cesc Fabregas wore in the San Siro when he scored a vital Champions League goal.
Despite the shirt being announced two days before the Gunners take on Villarreal on Wednesday, sources have confirmed to football.london that Arsenal are unlikely to wear the shirt in either of the two friendlies taking place this week. The second being the clash with Athletic Club on Sunday.
These games will, however, be the first chance for the Emirates Stadium crowd to get a look at the club’s new six summer signings, including Noni Madueke, who could make his unofficial debut. The winger has been expected back at the club to meet his new teammates this week and start training with the side after being granted an extended break following his participation at the Club World Cup.
