Liverpool has found out from Borussia Dortmund - and when it can sign him.
The Reds following his impressive start to the season, having scored four goals and provided a further two assists in just nine games in 2024-25.
That includes doubles from the bench in Dortmund's opening Bundesliga and games, scoring twice against Eintracht Frankfurt (2-0) and Club Brugge (3-0) in August and September, respectively, after being introduced in the latter stages.
Now, Gittens is being linked with a number of Europe's top sides, , and could be the subject of a bidding war if he continues to go from strength to strength with the German giants over the next few months.
Liverpool to bolster its attacking options but with the continuing to grow, the Reds are reportedly preparing for the Egyptians exit with the signing of Gittens.
And according to a report from , an offer of around $52-65million (£40-50m) would be enough to get the deal done, although that number could rise depending on how the former youth star gets on between now and the New Year.
It's unclear whether would be targeting a January swoop but even if it was, Dortmund has stated that it has no intention of letting its starlet leave before next summer.
By that point, though, the Reds could have even more clubs to contend with in the race for Gittens' signature, with rivals and already believed to have registered their interest in signing the player in 2025.
Liverpool, however, and appear to be the most proactive of the aforementioned trio as things stand - putting it in good stead ahead of next summer.
Gittens recently featured for Under-21s in its UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against Ukraine and Azerbaijan, featuring off the bench against the former on Friday before starting from the off against the latter on Tuesday, where he grabbed an assist in a 7-0 win.
