DU Admission 2025: More than 80 thousand students have accepted seats in the first round of Delhi University Admission 2025. Seats in top colleges are almost filled. The DU administration has tried to speed up the admission process by adding additional seats.
DU Admission 2025: A large number of seats may get frozen in the first round of Delhi University (DU) undergraduate admission session 2025-26. According to the first seat allocation released by the university, 93,166 seats were allotted against a total of 71,624 seats. By Monday evening, 80,015 students had accepted their seats. Experts believe that with the speed at which seats are being filled, very few seats will be left in top colleges by the second round. Especially, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Hindu College, Miranda House, Hansraj College, and St. Stephens are showing the most interest among the students. These colleges have already been included in the primary list of students.
Which courses are in the highest demand
Courses like B.Com Honors, B.Com, Political Science Honors, English Honors, History Honors, and BA Program (Combination) are in the highest demand. So far, colleges have approved 31,008 admissions, out of which 17,702 students have confirmed their admission by paying the fees for their seats.
DU's new formula
This time the DU administration has adopted a new formula to deal with the problem of vacant seats and start the session on time. Additional seats have been added in other colleges except North Campus colleges. Additional seats of 80-100% have been allotted in evening colleges and 20-35% in intermediate colleges.
