Whatsapp Ban: WhatsApp is a platform that is used a lot in the country. However, the company scans millions of accounts daily to maintain the security and policies of its platform and bans accounts that violate the rules. According to the report, in February 2025 itself, more than 99 lakh accounts were closed in India, out of which 14 lakh accounts were blocked by WhatsApp's automated system without any report.
However, some accounts also get blocked inadvertently. In such a situation, if your account has also been banned, then there is no need to worry. In this easy way, your account will be started again.
Why does a WhatsApp account get banned?
For information, let us tell you that WhatsApp strictly prohibits certain activities due to which the account can be banned. This includes the use of third-party apps (such as GB WhatsApp or WhatsApp Plus), sending spam or bulk messages, adding someone to a group without permission or sending unwanted messages, forwarding the same message repeatedly, and spreading false information. The company bans accounts with such activity.
What to do if the account is banned
If your account has been banned and you think it has happened by mistake, then you can request WhatsApp to review it again.
For this, you have to open the WhatsApp app where you will see the notification of "Account Ban".
After this, tap on 'Request a Review'.
Now enter your 6-digit verification code.
After this, submit the request for review again and clarify your point.
If you are unable to request from the app, then you can also send an email to WhatsApp support at support@whatsapp.com.
Make sure to mention your mobile number and problem details in your email.
WhatsApp will review your appeal and if they find any mistakes, your account can be reinstated.
