'New Chapter Begins' Has Dhanashree Verma Moved on After Divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal?

Ever since Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma got divorced roughly five months ago. This was after living separately for 18 months. Recently, Dhanashree broke her silence on the ‘fake marriage’ allegations and then Chahal shared an Instagram post ‘Million feelings, zero words’ which fans felt were a dig at Dhanashree’s interview.

Has Dhanashree Verma Moved on from Yuzvendra Chahal?

Now Dhanashree seems to have moved on from the divorce with Chahal. She shared a story on her Instagram that read 'It's time to rise. A new chapter begins now.' Of course, it is not clear if she is talking of a new relationship or a new phase in her life or a new venture. But it seems to indicate that Dhanashree is moving forward after her marriage to Chahal ended. The had tied the knot back in 2020.

Dhanasree Verma Breaks Silence After Divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal

"There is a reason why we say 'personal life'. It has to be private. And look, a coin has two sides. Taali ek haath se to bajti nahi (You can't clap with one hand). Just because I am not speaking it doesn't give anyone the power to take advantage of that. It is not correct. I think it should not happen with anybody," Dhanashree had earlier told Humans of Bombay.

"If you want to achieve great things, you don't have to address it again and again. I do have a lot to speak about it, I have my side of my story, do I want to delve into that? No. Do I wish to delve into that? Maybe, in the future," she added.

Yuzvendra Chahal-Dhanashree Verma Divorce Proceedings

Back in March, the Bombay High Court put in a request to the family court for a ruling on the divorce plea. It also put a waiver on the six-month cooling period that is stipulated for any couple under the Hindu Marriage Act. Both Chahal and Dhanashree had filed a joint petition requesting the cooling off period to be waived. This was because they were applying for a divorce by mutual consent.

The couple had separated in 2022. Chahal paid Rs. 4.75 crore as alimony to Dhanashree as per reports. They were legally married for five years. Chahal has not played for India in any format since 2023. Dhanashree is a social media influencer and also takes dance classes as she is a qualified professional dancer.
