Premium hotel chain Lemon Tree Hotels on Thursday signed two properties with real-estate giant RJ Corp Limited in Ayodhya and Guwahati.
As per the Development Management and License Agreements entered into between the two entities, Ravi Jaipuria-owned RJ Corp will develop the two hotels utilising the technical expertise of Lemon Tree Hotels, the company said in a regulatory filing on Thursday.
The hotel operations shall be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels.
Lemon Tree Premier in Ayodhya will feature around 300 rooms. The property is said to be located at a distance of approximately 4.5 km from the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra. The location of the signed hotel in Ayodhya is 8 km away from the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport and 3 km away from the nearest railway station.
The second property - Lemon Tree Premier in Guwahati will also feature around 300 rooms along with 50 serviced apartments with kitchenettes. The property is located approximately 22 km away from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport and 10 km away from the Guwahati Railway Station. Lemon Tree Hotels aims to enter into medical tourism segment with this property.
Speaking on the occasion, Patanjali G. Keswani, Executive Chairman, Lemon Tree Hotels, said, "While expanding the Lemon Tree Hotels’ portfolio substantially, these two signings align with the company’s vision of offering refreshing and comfortable stays across all destinations. The property in Guwahati will further see the company catering to a new segment of people travelling for medical tourism."
