Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, opened up about the rough time he went through after the controversy on reality show "India's Got Latent". The podcaster, who was criticised heavily, made a powerful comeback with an Instagram " Ask Me Anything" session.
Allahbadia responded to fans who asked how the controversy affected him. In a raw reply he said, “Lost: Health, money, opportunity, repute, mental health, peace, parents' contentment & much more. Gained: Transformation, spiritual growth, toughness. Will slowly work towards getting back everything that's lost. Let the work speak.”
This was the first instance where the creator openly shared about the effect of the backlash.
'Samay will be back... Picture abhi baaki hai'
When a fan asked about Latent host and fellow creator Samay Raina, Allahbadia revealed that the controversy brought them all closer.
“Samay will be back. All of us have gotten closer after the events. Stand by each other in good times as well as in bad times. My brother is (already) a media legend. God is watching over all of us. Just wanna say, love you Ashish Chanchlani & The Rebel Kid as well. Picture abhi baaki hai.”
What happened during the show?
The controversy started after Allahbadua asked a contestant aninappropriate question. The clip soon went viral online and was slammed for being vulgar and insensitive. Multiple FIRs were filed against the show’s team, including Samay, Ranveer, Ashish, and Apoorva.
