Telugu heartthrob Naga Chaitanya has finally opened up about his relationship with actress Sobhita Dhulipala, best known for Made in Heaven. Appearing on Jagapathi Babu’s ZEE5 talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, the Majili actor candidly shared how their romance began in the most unexpected way — on Instagram.
Chaitanya recalled that he was already familiar with Sobhita’s acting career when a casual interaction sparked something deeper. One day, after he shared a post about his cloud kitchen venture, Shoyu, Sobhita dropped a simple emoji in the comments. What began as a light digital exchange soon turned into a private conversation. Their chats grew more personal, leading to their first meeting, and from there, the bond gradually blossomed into love.
“We met on Instagram. I never imagined I would meet my partner there..." he said.
A Candid Confession and Playful Moments
During a rapid-fire segment, Jagapathi Babu asked the actor to name one thing he couldn’t imagine living without. Without a second’s hesitation, Chaitanya responded that it was his wife, Sobhita — a statement that left the audience delighted. He also narrated a humorous incident from their relationship.
According to Chaitanya, Sobhita was upset over a song in his blockbuster film Thandel, which crossed the ₹100-crore mark. The song, Bujji Thalli, used her personal nickname, leading her to assume he had requested the director to include it. She was annoyed for days, thinking it was a private endearment turned public. Laughing about the misunderstanding, Chaitanya remarked that minor arguments are part of every genuine relationship.
Professional Highs and Personal Milestones
After enduring a tough phase with films like Thank You, Laal Singh Chaddha, and Custody, Chaitanya found his comeback success with Thandel, a drama inspired by the true story of fishermen who accidentally drift into Pakistani waters. The movie also featured Sai Pallavi. He is now working on a mythological thriller directed by Karthik Dandu.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala began dating in 2022 and tied the knot in December 2024 at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. Before this, Chaitanya was married to actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu from 2017 to 2021. Samantha, on the other hand, is now rumored to be dating Family Man director Raj Nidimoru.
