There might be some heartbreak as this piece of news gets out, but Jalen Hurts is a married man! Hurts’ decade-long romance with his ‘lifelong partner’ Bryonna Burrows has finally come to fruition. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback , who had been engaged to Burrows since September 2024, has officially tied the knot! The Super Bowl champion confirmed their marriage in a Men’s Health interview, stating, “You can call her my wife.”
Burrows, who first crossed paths with Hurts at the University of Alabama in 2016, gained a lot of attention due to her chemistry with the Eagles’ quarterback start as she joined Hurts on the field at Caesars Superdome in February when he won his first Super Bowl with the Eagles, a 40-22 triumph over the Chiefs in New Orleans.
However, apart from being a wife and a lifelong cheerleader of her husband, Jalen Hurts, Bryonna herself is so much more, and is already making waves with her potential.
Take a look.
Who is Bryonna Burrows?
Burrows shares an educational background with NFL quarterback Jalen Hurts, as both attended the University of Alabama. While at Alabama, Burrows was engaged in campus activities, being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority and a candidate for homecoming queen, according to reports from AL.com. She also held the position of vice president of her MBA class.
Burrows was recognized for her achievements during her undergraduate years when her chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha honored her as the Outstanding Junior for the Order of Omega in 2016, as shared on their Instagram.
Bryonna has established a notable career in the tech industry, marked by her dedication and rapid advancement. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and political science, followed by an MBA earned in 2019 from the same institution. In 2019, Burrows began her professional journey at IBM as a senior client experience consultant and quickly ascended to a partner role within the company’s artificial intelligence division by January 2022.
In addition to her corporate success, Burrows is actively involved in philanthropy, notably through IBM’s Accelerate program. This initiative focuses on mentoring minority undergraduate students, preparing them for careers in business. Her commitment to mentorship and promoting diversity in the workplace has garnered her respect in both the technology and philanthropic sectors.
The ‘ Power Couple ’:
Burrows and Hurts’ relationship goes back to 2016 when their paths crossed at the University of Alabama. At the University of Alabama, Hurts served as the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback for two seasons before transferring to Oklahoma during his senior year, eventually being drafted into the NFL.
The public became aware of Burrows and Hurts' relationship following the Eagles' NFC Championship victory in January 2023, when she joined him on the field to celebrate. Their engagement was confirmed when Burrows was spotted wearing a ring at an Eagles game in Brazil on September 6, 2024. Hurts proposed in an intimate beach setting, complete with a violinist, candles, and red roses.
However, the couple tries to keep their personal life private and hence keeps their public appearances limited.
After the Eagles’ Super Bowl win in February 2025, Burrows and Hurts celebrated on the field, capturing a widely circulated moment of affection. The couple continued their celebration by visiting Disney World the next day, enjoying the Tron Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster. Their relationship has been celebrated on social media, with many describing them as a “power couple” and highlighting their embodiment of “Black love.”
