After the match, the left-handed batsman talked about his quick innings. He said- 'It is a great feeling. This is my first century in IPL and this is my third innings. After practice before the tournament, the result is shown here. I just see the ball and play.'

Second batsman to score the fastest century in IPL

Vaibhav is 14 years and 32 days old, but he has broken Yusuf Pathan's 15-year-old record. Vaibhav has become the fastest Indian to score a century in IPL. In 2010, Yusuf Pathan scored a century in 35 balls against Mumbai Indians and he was the fastest Indian to score a century in this tournament. This record of his has now been broken in 2025. That is, when Vaibhav was not even born, Yusuf had done this feat and now this young batsman from Bihar has broken a record more than his age. Overall, the record for scoring the fastest century in IPL is in the name of Chris Gayle, who scored a century in 30 balls against Pune Warriors in 2013.

'My dream has come true'

After the match, Vaibhav also praised his fellow batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal. He said that his dream of scoring a century in IPL has come true. He said- 'It is good to bat with Jaiswal, he tells me what to do and he includes positive things. It has been my dream to score a century in IPL and today it has come true. There is no fear. I don't think much, I just focus on playing.'

Biggest partnership for Rajasthan with Yashasvi
Gujarat had set a target of 210 runs for Rajasthan to win, but Vaibhav and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Rajasthan a quick start and shared a 166-run partnership for the first wicket. This partnership was broken by Prasidh Krishna by dismissing Vaibhav. This is the biggest partnership for any wicket for Rajasthan. Vaibhav and Yashasvi surpassed Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal in this matter, who shared a 155-run partnership against Delhi Capitals in 2022.
