In the Bengaluru road rage case involving IAF officer Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose and his wife Squadron Leader Madhumita Das, a new video has emerged showing the IAF officer brutally assaulting a delivery boy while his wife recorded the incident on her phone.
In the video, the IAF officer and the delivery boy can be seen entangled in a clash, as passersby try to separate them and pacify the IAF officer.
Then, the delivery boy calls someone on his phone when the IAF officer launches brutal punches on the delivery boy.
Earlier, it was reported that in the brawl with the delivery boy, the IAF officer was severely injured.
After the incident, Wing Commander Bose released a video statement stating that the biker abused him in Kannada and made comments about the DRDO. When Bose got out of the car, the biker allegedly hit him on the forehead with a key, causing him to bleed. The video shows visible injuries on his face and neck.
However, in a statement, Bengaluru Police presented a different version of the incident, calling it a road rage incident. D Devaraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Bengaluru) told ANI that this was a case of road rage and not related to any language or personal targeting.
"Both sides could have avoided the fight. When the argument started, 6–7 youngsters tried to stop them and calm things down. The issue began when the biker came from the opposite direction while Madhumita Das was driving. That was the root cause. Then both the officer and the biker got into a physical fight," he said.
