Mumbai: A 17-year-old girl from the city, who had been suffering for three years from painful periods, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)—a hormonal disorder that causes irregular periods, weight gain, and acne—and persistent facial acne (pimples caused by blocked skin pores), has finally found lasting relief through an innovative cell-based regenerative therapy.
The young patient, Ms. Sadhvi, had consulted several doctors and hospitals, but conventional treatments offered only short-term relief. Over time, her condition led to physical pain, emotional distress, and frustration. Constant acne, weight gain, and fatigue affected her confidence and made everyday tasks difficult. She often felt isolated and misunderstood.
The turning point came when she was treated by Dr. Pradeep Mahajan, a regenerative medicine expert and founder of StemRx Hospital & Research Centre in Navi Mumbai.
“Women’s health issues like PCOS are often treated only symptomatically. At our center, we focus on treating the root cause,” said Dr. Mahajan. A detailed evaluation of Sadhvi’s condition showed hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, and emotional stress.
She underwent a stem cell-based therapy, designed to reduce inflammation, restore hormonal balance, and repair damaged reproductive tissues. The treatment combined stem cells and MDI therapy to help the body heal from within. Sadhvi also received emotional support and a personalized diet plan, which played a key role in her recovery.

Today, Sadhvi enjoys regular menstrual cycles, clearer skin, weight loss, and higher energy levels. More importantly, she says she feels emotionally stronger and optimistic.
“There were days I couldn’t even get out of bed because of the pain,” Sadhvi said. “I felt invisible in my suffering. This therapy gave me hope, care, and a second chance at life.”
