The new strain of the corona virus has so far infected 257 people and has affected 11 states including the country's capital Delhi. This has once again made health agencies active. Health experts say that the contagiousness of the new strain of corona so far shows that it may not be as contagious as the first and second mutations of Covid 19. Still, it can have a negative effect on people suffering from other diseases. People suffering from other diseases should be cautious and consult doctors immediately if any symptoms appear.
Where and how many active cases?

Corona spread to 11 states
According to central health officials, the corona situation is under control. In a meeting of officials of the Union Health Ministry and ICMR on Monday, all aspects of the situation have been considered. All the cases registered so far are in the moderate category and no patient has been registered in the severe category. According to the government, in view of the situation, the activity of investigation and monitoring has been increased and there is nothing to worry about.
The country has all the arrangements to deal with any situation. But even after this, the truth is that Corona has spread to 11 states of the country. These include Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Puducherry, West Bengal, Sikkim, Rajasthan and Karnataka.
Last time China was said to be the main reason for the spread of Corona. However, China had lodged a strong objection to this. But this time Corona has already spread to Singapore and Hong Kong. When it reaches other countries, we will have to be proactive to handle the situation.
Endemic effect of Corona virus is possible: Dr. Mamta Tyagi
Dr. Mamta Tyagi, health expert of Max Hospital, told Amar Ujala that after a period of time, any kind of epidemic is followed by its endemic. During this time, the virus remains present in the environment, but its ability to infect and infectiousness rate decreases. Since herd immunity has developed in the society regarding Corona 19, its effect will not be very fatal. But even after this, people should be cautious.
Dr. Mamta Tyagi said that sometimes some viruses make huge changes in themselves and they attack people with new infectious capacity, but the new cases of corona that have come up so far do not indicate that this new strain is very deadly or infectious. In such a situation, people should not worry too much. But one should try to avoid it by taking precautions.
New mutation is not dangerous: Health Expert
Dr. Sandeep Nair, who was the nodal in-charge of corona cases at Delhi's BLK Hospital during Covid 19, told Amar Ujala that the new mutation of Corona, JN-1, is not of the dangerous category. Its ability to infect people has also been found to be limited. It is not at all explosive like the second version of Corona. If this were the case, then by now a large number of corona patients would have appeared.
Dr. Sandeep Nair said that patients affected by this infectious virus may have mild symptoms of fever and cough. The effect of this virus can have a negative effect on patients suffering from other diseases, so people who have any other serious disease should be cautious. Patients should immediately consult a doctor if any symptoms appear. One should not panic even if one is found to be Covid positive. Its treatment is generally available everywhere. If one is found positive, one should get treatment from a good doctor.
What should be done?
As a precaution, sick people should start wearing masks before going to public places. As a precaution, normal people should also not go to crowded places unnecessarily. One should wash hands from time to time and avoid touching eyes and nose with hands repeatedly.
