According to a report by WABetaInfo, this feature has currently been released in Android beta version 2.25.18.18 which can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

What is the new feature?

WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.18.18 update is rolling out on the Google Play Store. 

 

 

Meta AI will now prepare a summary of unread messages on WhatsApp. The advantage of this feature will be that if you have missed many messages in a chat, then by pressing a button you will get the summary of the entire message, that too without opening any message.

How will it work?

Beta testers can use this feature by turning on a setting called 'Private Processing'. Once it is turned on, whenever there are many unread messages in a chat, the user will see a special button. On tapping on it, Meta AI will create a summary of those messages.

The data will remain completely private

WhatsApp says that this entire process happens under 'Private Processing', in which the data neither goes to the WhatsApp server nor reaches Meta. This means that your personal information remains completely confidential and secure. Even Meta cannot know what the user requested.

This feature is optional

If you do not want to take the help of AI, you can also turn it off. It completely depends on the user's wish. Meta is also working on another AI feature called Writing Help. With this feature, users can rewrite their messages, change their tone and make it more clear. This can be especially useful in professional or sensitive conversations.

New change in status too

Recently WhatsApp has also updated the status section. Now users can add music, stickers and other effects to their photo or video status just like in Instagram Stories. This new Meta AI feature of WhatsApp can be special for those who get annoyed with a lot of messages.
