BBC Breakfastpresenters Jon Kay and Sally Nugent paused Monday's programme to warmly welcome back their colleague Carol Kirkwood, who had been away for a few weeks.
"Right, it is quarter past six. I'm delighted to say that Carol's back with us this morning," Jon announced with a smile, turning towards his co-host.
"Very delighted," Sally echoed, adding, "Morning, Carol."

Jon continued, "Just as the sun comes out, you have come back."
Carol chuckled in response, saying, "Timed that beautifully. Good morning, both, and good morning to you, too. It is lovely to be back," reports the Express.
While Carol didn't disclose where she had been, her fellow weather presenter Matt Taylor has been stepping in for her over the past few weeks.

The weather expert took to X, previously known as Twitter, to share that Carol would be returning to our screens.
On Sunday, he posted alongside a video clip, "My wonderful friend @carolkirkwood is back @BBCBreakfast tomorrow morning".
"The fact that the sun is back after three weeks of rain (when I was on Breakfast duty) is PURELY COINCIDENTAL!"
In the video, he stated, "Right, so I have just done three weeks of Breakfast. It has rained every single day.
"According to the Environmental Agency as well, across England, we had the wettest week of weather in around a year.
"Carol is back on Monday, blue skies out, drier week for most."
Matt concluded the video by outlining this week's weather forecast and advising his followers to "enjoy."
BBC Breakfast is broadcast daily at 6am on BBC One.
