Cameron Norrie became the last Brit to fall at Wimbledon as defending champion Carlos Alcaraz turned on the style on Centre Court.
Alcaraz booked his place in the semi-finals with a commanding 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 victory in just one hour and 39 minutes against the British No.3 on Tuesday evening.
There were a record number of Brits in the men's and women's singles this year, with 23 making it the highest number of home players since 1984. But after nine days of competition, they are all out after Norrie came up against an inspired Alcaraz.
The left-hander fought hard, but simply couldn't keep pace with the young Spaniard, who put on a show. Alcaraz served superbly, dominated the back-of-the-court exchanges and showed some beautiful touch to litter the points with drop shots.

Alcaraz will play fifth seed Taylor Fritz in the semi-finals on Thursday after coming through his quarter-final unscathed. The other side of the men's singles draw will be decided on Wednesday when world No.1 Jannik Sinner faces 10th seed Ben Shelton and Novak Djokovic plays Flavio Cobolli.
He is bidding for a third straight title at the All England Club and is already an undisputed home favourite, despite knocking out Norrie, who will bank £400,000 for reaching the quarter-finals, but could not match his best run when he made the last four in 2022.
The 22-year-old is in supreme form and no-one would bet against him racking up another title in SW19. The five-time Major champion is now on a 23-match winning streak, having claimed the Rome and French Open titles.
Norrie was the last Brit standing in the men's singles after a disappointing second-round exit for Jack Draper. The British No.1 was seeded fourth at Wimbledon - the highest of any home player since Andy Murray in 2017 - but lost to Marin Cilic last week.
Meanwhile, Emma Raducanu was knocked out by world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling third-round match. Sonay Kartal went the furthest in the women's singles, reaching the last 16 before she was beaten by Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
There was a memorable run from qualifier Oliver Tarvet, who won on his Wimbledon debut in the first round before being beaten by Alcaraz in the second round. Meanwhile, Dan Evans was knocked out by Djokovic in the second round on his return to the Grand Slam.
British No.2 Katie Boulter crashed out in the second round against Solana Sierra, while her fiancee, Australian Alex de Minaur, was beaten by Djokovic in the last 16.
