is laughing all the way to the bank after his rival ahead of their fight on Saturday night.
The pair are set to go head-to-head on Saturday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, but there was real drama just over 24 hours before the showdown. Benn was quick to weigh in earlier this morning, coming in at 156.4lb. Tomorrow nights dust-up is scheduled to take place at a middleweight limit of 160lb.
However, there is a rehydration clause in place that will forbid either fighter from weighing more than 170lb on the morning of the fight. Much to the surprise of many, Eubank Jr weighed 160.2lb on his first attempt and 160.05lb on his second. It means 'Next Gen' will now be fined $500,000 for failing to make weight, all of which will go to his opponent.

And after hearing the news, Benn was eager to share his reaction. The 28-year-old took to X - formerly known as - and posted a video appearing to see the humorous side of things. "Show me the motherf****** money," said an energetic Benn.
The line is in reference to the famous 1996 film 'Jerry Maguire' starring Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. Benn will be moving up two weight classes for the fight, while Eubank Jr is seen as a natural middleweight - who has previously competed at super-middleweight (168lb) in his career.
Heading into the fight, Eubank Jr was fully aware of the drawbacks of potentially missing weight and revealed that should either man come in overweight, . In an interview with the , he said: “I can change my mind at any time but it will cost me a substantial amount of money. I don’t want to lose $1m so I’m pretty sure I’m going to stick to it.” He added: “They are paying me a separate fee to restrict my weight gain and rehydration. I was never going to do it for free.”
Over the last few weeks, Eubank Jr's father has , insisting his son is having to 'boil himself down' in order to make the 160lb limit. “My son is having to boil himself down to 160lbs. Three years ago, they were talking about him coming down 157lbs. This is daylight murder," said Eubank Sr. "And when I say murder, you say that’s a bit too strong. Yes, my brother died at the hands of the promoters - 20 losses and 27 fights, being brought in as fodder. I'm speaking from experience, it’s real for me. My brother died, frontal lobe dementia - the promoters are responsible for that.
“We have to protect the fighters and the biggest example of this is Michael Watson. I am so hurt by what’s happened to him and this is the situation they’re putting my son in now. They’re destroying Conor’s career if they haven’t already destroyed it. This is a disgrace, and if you don’t think this is a disgrace, fight me. I said it and you all need to say it to actually make the Board of Control do something. We can’t run amok. We are not a country of baboons.”
Amid concerns of potentially missing weight, Eubank Jr was quick to assure fans he'd be able to make the 160lb limit. “I’ve been doing this for so many years and know my body. It can be horrific but it’s part of what fighters sign up for," he said. "If we’re going to make all this money, you have to make sacrifices. One of those sacrifices is starving yourself, dehydrating yourself, pulling yourself down to an extremely uncomfortable weight.”
