Shocking footage shared online shows a "fountain" of sewage as high as a residential building shooting into the sky in , a Russian Telegram channel has claimed.

Videos and users on the messaging app have claimed that the sewage system broke down in the capital. Footage on social media show the huge "fountain" of dirt, close to residential buildings and others under construction, in the Novaya Moskva district.

Anton Gerashchenko, was an advisor to the Ukrainian Government's Internal Affairs Minister from 2021 to 2023, published three clips on X, formerly called , this morning. He wrote: "Moscow Telegram channels report that the sewage system in Moscow broke down.

"A 'fountain' the height of a residential building is seen in one of Moscow's districts. A sh*t show, literally." While details of the incident are scarce, the clips have been shared and commented by thousands of people online.

A person wrote on Mr Gerashchenko's X post: "That's one s***ty fountain." Another commented: "Imagine that it all fall down, transported by wind, smell... beurk!!! and the technicians are in the trenches at the frontline."

One more said: "This is one of those moments where I realy, really hope *did* do it." But one noted: "Is this the thermal heating system being purged. In our apartment in Craiova the heating is pressurized in October and the water that come out is rusty coloured like this."

According to Russia's state-owned conglomerate Gazprom, a new section of the gas pipeline is being cleaned out of the air in this way. Representatives of the corporation said the situation is under control.

It comes after a Russian cargo ship known as the "floating bomb" after being turned away from several other countries. The vessel, nicknamed the Ruby, is carrying an estimated seven times of explosives than those that . MP Sir Roger Gale addressed concerns about the vessel when it was moored off the Kentish coast in a thread posted on X/. He said on October 19: "In the light of ongoing concerns expressed about the presence offshore of the MV Ruby I have met recently with the shipping Minister, Mike Kane and relevant officials from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and other appropriate bodies.

"The MV Ruby, which is currently moored some eleven miles off Margate is a Maltese flagged vessel which was initially anchored in the European Economic Zone outside the twelve-mile limit but moved inshore due to inclement conditions in the North Sea."
