Old McDonald is back to farm the King Charles III Stakes. New Zealander James McDonald – one of the ’s top jockeys – won ’s most prestigious sprint three years ago on Aussie raider Nature Strip.

Aesterius notched up his fourth win of the year last season when beating smart Big Mojo and subsequent Breeders’ Cup winner Magnum Force in the Group 2 Flying Childers at Doncaster.
He was disappointing on his return to action behind Tropical Storm at York last month but that was when his trainer was struggling for winners. He’ll be much sharper today. Have 2pts each-way at 33-1. A couple of bookies are paying out on five places.
COPPULL (3.05) showed a great attitude to make a winning debut over 5f at Leicester in April. He’s bred to come into his own over the extra furlong of the Coventry Stakes and that’s very much in line with the way he ran first time out.

The 2m4f Ascot Stakes demands endless stamina and that will suit MANXMAN (5.00). Since stepping into handicaps he has won an incredible eight races from just 13 starts but he’s not finished yet.
He was touched off a nose in last season’s Cesarewitch and he arrives at Royal Ascot on the back of a Goodwood victory. Have 2pts each-way at 11-1. Several firms are going six places.
AERONAUTIC (6.10) looked a nice staying prospect when winning twice for Joseph O’Brien last summer. He found 1m2f way too sharp on his return to action and the 1m6f of the Copper Horse Stakes will suit him much better. Have 1pt each-way at 14-1. Sky Bet is going six places.
