A man has been charged by police after his car plunged into a body of water at Strathclyde Park, sparking an emergency response and recovery effort on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred around 7.20pm, with videos circulating online showing the silver vehicle slowly disappearing beneath the water's surface.
One video captures a bystander quipping "excuse me you can't park there" as the car starts to submerge.

Firefighters and other emergency services rushed to the scene, deploying a small boat to the location where the car had sunk, with plans for its recovery underway.
