A 36-year-old woman has tragically died after at a tourist hotspot in .
Kate Cooper died following the incident at Mapleton Falls National Park in the Sunshine Coast on Friday afternoon, her partner Simon Rosenkranz confirmed on social media. Emergency services rushed to the scene but couldn't save Kate's life. Queensland Police said the death was non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner. In a tribute posted on , Simon described Kate as "the most beautiful person" he has ever met. The pair shared a passion for travelling and enjoyed spending time outdoors, according to photos shared online.

In a heartbreaking post shared this morning, Simon wrote: "Rest in peace my love. You were the most beautiful person I've ever met and made me feel so loved and cared for. I'll miss and love you more everyday and cherish the wonderful memories we made.
"I just can't believe you're gone. I love you beautiful lady XOXO. (Kate passed away at mapleton Falls yesterday afternoon.)"
Family and friends shared their condolences and expressed their memories of Kate in the comment section.
A person wrote: "Oh Sim! I am so very sorry for your loss. I can't believe Kate is gone. It was so wonderful to meet her a couple of weeks ago.
"Our hearts go out to you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you through this heartbreaking time. We love you very much."

Mapleton Falls is a national park near the town of Mapleton on the Blackall Range in South East Queensland, 95km north of Brisbane.
It is a popular tourist hotspot, known for its stunning views, hiking trails and wildlife viewing opportunities, including the Australian peregrine falcon.
