Diabetes has become a serious problem worldwide. Every year, a huge increase is being recorded in the number of patients suffering from it all over the world. Diabetes is also a major health risk in India. Do you know that out of all the adults suffering from diabetes worldwide, 1 in 7 is in India.
Not only this, a big jump in diabetes cases is yet to come. Recently, a report estimated that diabetes cases in India may increase by 73% by 2050. In 25 years, 156.7 million adults aged 20–79 years in the country may be suffering from it.
Not only the cases but the number of diabetes-related deaths has also increased in the country. In such a situation, it is important that you try some necessary measures while you are pre-diabetic so that you can avoid becoming a diabetic patient. Ayurvedic nutritionist Dimple Jangda has told about some such measures, which have been useful for years to manage blood sugar. Let's know about them.
What is pre-diabetes?
Prediabetes is a condition in which blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high enough to be considered type 2 diabetes. But it is a warning sign of a higher risk of diabetes. The good news is that prediabetes can often be reversed to return to normal blood sugar levels through a healthy lifestyle.

Ways to lower blood sugar

Bitter gourd juice
Bitter gourd juice is considered a panacea for diabetic patients . It tastes bitter, but it contains compounds called charantin and momordicin, which mimic insulin in your body. It helps in regulating your blood sugar levels and improving your insulin sensitivity.
How to consume
The nutritionist said that consume this juice every morning on an empty stomach for 30 days. This will improve your diabetes. However, if the juice tastes very bitter, then you can add tomato juice to it.
String Beans Tea
Apart from this, tea made from string beans or French beans is considered very effective for controlling sugar levels. It contains adequate amount of fiber and essential vitamins and minerals, which support your pancreatic health. This tea will help reduce glucose spikes and control your blood sugar level.
How to consume
To prepare this tea, just cut 5 string beans into ten pieces vertically, boil it in one and a half cups of water till it becomes one cup. After filtering it, you can drink it in the morning on an empty stomach or even at 4 pm.
Fenugreek seeds
The third way to manage sugar levels is to drink fenugreek water . It is a rich source of soluble fiber. It helps in curbing your appetite, controlling your cholesterol as well as diabetes symptoms.
How to consume
To make this, just take a teaspoon of fenugreek seeds, boil it in a cup of water, strain it and drink it on an empty stomach in the morning. Along with this, you can also add cinnamon powder, blackberry powder and black pepper. All three of these are diabetes friendly. They have hypoglycemic properties which help in lowering blood sugar in your body.
