Addressing the Economic Times World Leaders Forum 2025, he said that India's first Made in India semiconductor chip will come to the market by the end of the year. Apart from this, he also said about Made in India 6G that the government is working fast on it.
The opportunity was missed decades ago
In his address at the Economic Times World Leaders Forum 2025, PM Modi said that India could have entered semiconductor manufacturing 50-60 years ago, but the opportunity was lost. However, today the situation has completely changed, and semiconductor factories have started coming up in the country.
India will become the third-largest economy
PM Modi claimed in the Economic Times World Leaders that India will soon become the third largest country in the world and is on the verge of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Apart from this, he said that reforms for the government are a matter of commitment and conviction. He said that the next generation GST reform will be implemented before this Diwali, which will simplify the law and reduce prices.
Appeal for investment from the private sector
PM Modi appealed to the private sector to invest more in clean energy, quantum technology, battery storage, advanced materials, and biotechnology. He said that reforms are not a compulsion but a commitment for the government.
Reforms will increase manufacturing and employment
The Prime Minister said that the new reforms will increase both manufacturing and demand in India, industries will get a new impetus, and employment opportunities will be created. He said that India, which is working on the mantra of reform, perform and transform, has the capability to take the world out of slow growth rate.
