Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has once again gone on a foreign trip, triggering fresh criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, the Congress swiftly responded, clarifying that Gandhi is in London to attend his niece Miraya Vadra’s graduation ceremony and will return shortly.
Amid social media speculation that Rahul Gandhi had traveled to Bahrain, Congress sources confirmed that his flight route was New Delhi-Bahrain-London, with London being his final destination.
BJP’s Attack on Rahul’s TravelBJP IT cell head Amit Malviya lashed out at Gandhi, alleging that the Congress leader has developed a pattern of “repeated disappearances.”
Congress Hits Back“Rahul Gandhi had gone abroad on vacation only last week. Now, he has again gone to another unknown place,” Malviya said on X (formerly Twitter).
“Why are these disappearances happening again and again? What compulsion takes him abroad so frequently? As Leader of the Opposition, he must be accountable to the people of India.”
Congress media and publicity department head Pawan Khera defended Rahul Gandhi’s visit and accused the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) of indulging in “dirty tricks.”
“The PMO is, as usual, up to its dirty tricks. It knows nothing else,” Khera wrote on social media.
“Shri Rahul Gandhi has gone to London to attend the graduation ceremony of his niece and will be back shortly.”
Gandhi’s niece Miraya Vadra, daughter of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra, is graduating from an institution in the UK.
