
A British woman, 59, is critically injured following a crash involving three cars on Menorca, one of Spain's Balearic Islands.
She was rescued from the horror crash on Tuesday morning at about 10.30am local time, and was rushed from the scene to hospital.
She was admitted to intensive care at Mateu Orfila Hospital in the popular tourist destination's capital, Mahon, as per .
The woman was reportedly in the vehicle with another Briton who was also injured in the collision.
According to local reports, one of the vehicles was driven by a Spaniard, 21, who was also critically injured and taken to the intensive care unit.
Also taken to hospital were two women aged 19 and 29, one of whom is Spanish, the outlet reports.
A probe into what happened has been launched by Civil Guard traffic officers, as per the newspaper. They will report to a local court.
An ambulance service spokesperson said: "Three cars were involved and five people injured.
"Firefighters had to free two of the casualties, a woman aged around 60 and a man in his twenties," they added.
"One of the five injured people were treated at the scene and didn't require a hospital transfer."
Photos from the scene appeared to show debris on the ground, first reponders attending, and on the grass by the road.
