star has been flooded with support after he made a moving announcement on social media. The BBC veteran revealed that he was busy getting his home and garden, 'Chez Hudson', ready for an upcoming event. He told his 66.7k followers on Instagram: "We are getting ready to open our garden for the second time, second year running in support of the NGS, the National Garden Scheme. Now, every year they raise around three and a half million pounds in support of some fantastic charities supporting research into dementia, Parkinson's and cancer, to name but a worthy few.
"Across the country this year, thousands of gardens will be open, supporting their good work, and we are playing a small part, along with three other gardens here at our village in Eden Bishop. So you don't just get to see our garden, you get to see some of our fine neighbours' examples as well. There's tea and cake, so if you want to join in and come and see us, it's next Sunday, the 18th of May. Details are on the NGS website."
He finished: "Fingers crossed we'll see you then, and they do say that the weather is going to be like this. Where else would you fancy a cup of tea and a slice of something naughty?"
Jules' fans were quick to inundate the presenter's post with comments about the event. One user wrote: "Wouldn't that be a lovely outing?" Another person gushed: "This is excellent work and God bless you all for your kindness." And someone else penned: "This is fantastic, thank you for all you do!"
