UPDATE: Fortnite developer Epic Games has issued a number of warnings ahead of tonight's Remix: The Prelude event.
Echoing our sentiments, the studio recommends logging in a few hours early to avoid queues.
The event takes place in Battle Royale and Zero Build, where it's been confirmed that players won't be eliminated around Restored Reels during the festivities.
Epic explains more: "Log in early! Beat the queue and hop on Fortnite a few hours early. Remix: The Prelude takes place in Battle Royale and Zero Build playlists! Don't worry, the storm won't hurt ya ;)
"Don't be late! Remix: The Prelude starts at 6:30 PM ET. Trying to join last minute means you may miss this event."
As a reminder, the event takes place at 10.30pm GMT for fans living in the UK.
ORIGINAL: fans are counting down to the start of a new Remix season, which will be preceded by an in-game event.
Fortnite Remix: The Prelude event has a November 1 release date and a 10.30pm GMT start time for fans living in the UK. That's 6.30pm ET for US players.
Based on the in-game teasers, the event will take place in Restored Reels, where it will be shown on the screens.
Fortnite developer has told fans to turn up the volume when the event begins, which suggests it will have a musical twist.
Epic Games explains more: "Join us for Remix: The Prelude in-game on November 1. When the timer hits zero, be there with the volume UP."

Fortnite insider Shiina has also provided fans with additional info, confirming that it will be a "unique Event Playlist with respawns".
According to Shiina, some points of interest will be destroyed or unloaded, while the Rift Beacon will also be used.
The event is believed to last for around 15 minutes (although this hasn't been confirmed), and only has a small file size.
Unfortunately for UK fans, there's currently no word on whether or not the event will be repeated. With Remix: The Prelude taking place so late, younger fans risk missing out.
If the previous Fortnite event is anything to go by, it's also worth logging in nice and early to ensure you don't have to queue.
The servers were pretty crowded for the Doctor Doom event, with some players forced to queue for an extended period of time.
The Fortnite live event will be followed by the launch of the new season, which kicks off at some point on November 2.
Titled Fortnite Chapter 2: Remix, the shortened season will take fans back to the old-school, similar to last year's OG season.
According to Epic Games, the season will take players back to the Chapter 2 island, albeit with one or two surprises.
"Yes, we're going back to the Chapter 2 Island - with splashes of content from the earliest seasons," Epic explains, before confirming that Remix comes with a "tuneful twist".
The Battle Pass will seemingly contain a Meowscles + Midas variant, Female Guff, 8-Ball Remix, Female Chaos Agent and TNTina Remix.
