A row over London's tube strikes has exploded on social media after high-profile broadcasters clashed in a fiery back-and-forth that quickly turned personal. The row began when GB News presenter and Sunday Telegraph columnist Camilla Tominey weighed in on the latest industrial action that brought the Underground to a standstill.

She posted on X: "Let me just get this straight. London's entire tube network ground to a halt because already well-paid workers, with fat pensions, want even more money to work fewer hours? After TfL was bailed out by the taxpayer to the tune of £3.6bn three years ago?"

Broadcaster and social commentator Narinder Kaur then weighed in, posting a screenshot of the exchange alongside her own furious take. She wrote: "Imagine sneering at the people who haul themselves out of bed at 3am to keep a city moving, when the hardest shift they've ever done is from the sofa to the studio. Nauseating privilege @CamillaTominey @KirstieMAllsopp Give your heads a wobble."

Tominey swiftly fired back at Kaur directly, escalating the row.

She responded: "If it wasn't for journalists allowing you into their studios (including me on the sixth day of the week I work, for @GBNEWS) you wouldn't have the 'job' of being an amateur gobshite, @narindertweets. Maybe wind your neck in for once?"

Kaur accused Tominey of arrogance, replying: "Somehow you've managed to show the world what a professional condescending and arrogant bore looks like. Not only looking down at tube drivers working long shifts, but talking down to other women as if you are somehow better, working for some crappy TV channel that pushes racism and bigotry is nothing to be proud of, Camilla..and telling another woman that you 'allowed' her anything is pretty disgusting actually. You didn't allow me anything. You needed me for your paltry ratings."

The GB News presenter then hit back, saying: "Your rank hypocrisy is off the scale. I only ever treated you with respect and kindness, and then you turned into a nasty race-baiter, sparking X pile-ons to further your own narcissistic aims. When you're not slagging off others, you're playing the victim. Jog on!"

Kaur countered: "I never said you weren't kind. And the race-baiting slur is a weapon used by racists to silence POC..FYI. Are you jealous of me, Camilla?"

The spat continued late into the night, with Tominey telling Kaur: "From the Queen of Slurs herself, this really is quite something. We are all hugely admiring of your brass neck, Narinder x."

Kaur replied: "I'd rather not be silenced about my experiences of racism under the 'race baiter' silencer gun thank you very much.....if I'm 'allowed' that is?"

Tominey signed off with: "I think maybe quit while you're behind. I look forward to being personally attacked and unfairly maligned for expressing another opinion you disagree with in the future. Good luck x."
