Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Marc Guehi, adding to the growing list of European clubs vying for his signature. The England defender's £35million deadline day move to Liverpool fell through when Crystal Palace decided to cancel the deal at the last minute. This has paved the way for Europe's top clubs to attempt to secure Guehi as a free agent when his contract ends next summer.
Bayern Munich, the German powerhouse, are the latest club to monitor the situation surrounding the Palace captain, who will be an enticing prospect as a free agent next summer. Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keeping a close eye on the situation, with both Spanish titans expressing significant interest.
Inter Milan and Juventus are also keen on Guehi, who is aware that as a free agent, he could negotiate a more lucrative contract. Foreign clubs can initiate talks with Guehi from 1 January and secure a pre-contract agreement, giving them an edge over Premier League teams.
Guehi made it clear this summer that he would either join Liverpool or depart as a free agent when his contract with Palace expires next year.
This indicates that he is not interested in negotiating a new deal, while Liverpool remain eager to snap him up as a free agent next summer.
Liverpool had agreed a deal, Guehi was undergoing a medical and the transfer was nearing completion until Palace called it off when chairman Steve Parish decided they hadn't secured enough reinforcements to satisfy manager Oliver Glasner.

Despite the collapse of the deal, Liverpool had a successful deadline day with the signing of Alexander Isak.
The Reds are not deterred and remain hopeful of luring Guehi to Anfield despite this week's setback.
However, they are aware that they will face fierce competition from other top European clubs in the summer.
Guehi, despite his disappointment over the failed deal, remains dedicated to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the season and was seen in high spirits during England's training at St George's Park this week.
