Netflix subscribers are binge-watching Tina Fey's "messy" new comedy The Four Seasons in one sitting.
Based on the 1981 film of the same name, the eight-part series follows six friends on a weekend getaway that takes an unexpected turn when one couple's impending break-up is revealed.
This revelation throws all three couples into turmoil, prompting them to reassess their own relationships.
"Over the course of a year, we follow the friends on four vacations, and watch how this shake-up affects everyone's dynamic - sending old issues and new bubbling to the surface," the official logline continues.
The 30 Rock and Mean Girls star created the comedy series with 30 Rock staff writers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield. The trio also executive produced alongside Eric Gurian, David Miner and Jeff Richmond, reports .
As well as Tina, the star-studded cast also includes Will Forte, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen.
Since The Four Seasons landed on the streamer earlier this week, viewers have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to praise the show's "hilarious" and "heartbreaking" plot.
One fan raved, "The Four Seasons on #Netflix OMGGGG 10/10," while another wrote, "I hope they do another season of Four Seasons."
Others shared similar sentiments, with one saying, "Watching Four Seasons on @netflix and loving it! #TinaFey and the entire cast has my heart!" and another posting, "We just binged Four Seasons. So good."
A fifth viewer echoed the sentiment, saying: "The Four Seasons on #Netflix is absolutely brilliant. Good comedy after a long time. Haven't seen the Alan Alda original but I must.
"Somehow Will Forte reminds me of Alan Alda, he is my favourite but the others are brilliant. Do watch, people."
Critics, too, have heaped praise on the series, which currently boasts a impressive 77% Rotten Tomatoes score.
Many reviewers have branded the show the ultimate "comfort" watch, drawing parallels to Mike White's successful anthology series, The White Lotus.
Digital Spy said: "Fey's remake is a comfort show that isn't afraid to pull you out of your comfort zone a bit, hitting viewers with a surprise cold snap before settling back into the snug warmth that only family can bring, chosen or otherwise."
The Guardian added: "Like The White Lotus without the deaths, this brilliant tale of old college friends holidaying together is Fey's finest work in years. Steve Carrell and Colman Domingo are revelatory."
The Independent shared similar sentiments: "Just about staying the right side of low-key, and propelled along by [Antonio] Vivaldi's violins, The Four Seasons is something of a delight.
"Life - and its relationships - might eschew easy metaphors, but Fey, like Alda and Vivaldi before her, has captured the subtle changes in temperature that moderate the climate of human existence."
