Pop superstar tipped to headline Glastonbury 2025 after previous cancellation

Global pop sensation has become the top favourite to headline in 2025, as fans eagerly await what would be her long-anticipated debut on the iconic Pyramid Stage.

The Look What You Made Me Do and Blank Space singer, 34, could have some free time on her hands, as her record-breaking Eras Tour concludes in December, making next summer the perfect opportunity to finally grace Worthy Farm.

Taylor was initially set to headline the 2020 festival, joining a lineup that included Sir Paul McCartney, Kendrick Lamar, and Dua Lipa. However, the festival was abruptly cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic-a disappointing Cruel Summer for fans who had hoped to see her perform. While McCartney and Dua Lipa have since made up for their missed appearances, Swift has yet to take the Glastonbury stage.

But it appears there's no Bad Blood between Taylor and the festival organisers, and 2025 could be the year Swift fans have been waiting for. Bookmakers have now listed her as the favourite to headline, with Betway giving her 4/1 odds for a Glastonbury debut.

Betway spokesperson Chad Yeomans explained, "As one of the biggest music events in the calendar, Glastonbury 2025 is set to be all the more special before the festival takes a fallow year to give the land-and its legends-a breather."

Reflecting on her missed 2020 appearance, Chad added, "After the pandemic interrupted her originally slated appearance, this could finally be the year for Glastonbury - Taylor's Version - to Begin Again, fresh off the heels of her record-smashing Eras Tour." He also noted that with the festival scheduled for June, it would give the Love Story singer a full six months to recharge post-tour. "Her partner, Travis Kelce, could even attend before the NFL season starts!" Chad joked, hinting at Swift's high-profile relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs star.

Though Swift is currently leading the odds, Beyoncé is a close contender at 8/1. Following them, artists like Charli XCX, Harry Styles, and Sabrina Carpenter are listed at 10/1, while rising star Chappell Roan is a long shot with odds of 16/1. Meanwhile, despite rumours swirling around a potential reunion, Oasis has firmly denied any involvement, leaving them at distant odds of 50/1.

Anticipation around the 2025 lineup is heating up as fans prepare to battle it out for tickets when they go on sale on November 14. But this year, Glastonbury is making some adjustments to the notoriously tense booking process. Showrunners have announced, "The booking process itself for 2025 will be the same as in previous years, however, the way in which you join the booking process is changing."

Instead of refreshing the page repeatedly to gain access, festival-goers will be randomly assigned a place in the queue if they're already on the site when sales begin at 6 pm or 9 am. Once at the front of the queue, hopefuls will enter registration details for themselves and up to five others.

With Taylor Swift tipped as the top choice to headline, and the updated booking process in place, fans are bracing for what could be a historic Glastonbury-and hoping they're lucky enough to snag tickets for what promises to be an unforgettable summer.
