Prime Video fans have days to binge a "timeless" noughties drama that "can never be matched".

Dawson's Creek, crafted by Kevin Williamson, revolved around a tight-knit group of friends in the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts.

The series, which started in high school and progressed into college, featured James Van Der Beek as Dawson Leery and Katie Holmes as his best friend and romantic interest, Joey Potter.

Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams also starred as Pacey Witter and Jen Lindley, respectively.

Throughout its six-season run from 1998 to 2003, Dawson's Creek tackled numerous challenging subjects such as death, homophobia, class disparities, heartbreak, mental health, and divorce, reports the Mirror.

It also set the stage for a slew of successful American teen dramas, including One Tree Hill, The OC, Gilmore Girls, and 90210.

However, Prime Video viewers don't have much time left to binge-watch this iconic series, as it is scheduled to depart the streaming platform on Wednesday (13 August).

More than two decades after its conclusion, Dawson's Creek continues to captivate its fans, with many expressing their admiration on social media.

"I love Dawson's Creek from beginning to end. It's my favourite guilty pleasure drama series of all time," one person wrote on IMDb.

Another chimed in: "One of the best shows ever from American television. It's an amazing TV drama that always surprises me."

A third said: "This show is absolutely timeless. It takes you back to your teens where it seemed like anything was possible. Give it a try if you want to be possibly transported back to another time of your life and most likely your youth."

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "Dawson's Creek is the show that made me watch TV again. There isn't a better show on TV," with another similarly sharing: "Dawson's Creek is my favourite American teenage drama. It has been replicated but can never be matched."

Excitement is now brewing among Dawson's Creek fans as former co-stars Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson recently reunited on the set of a new project.

Their characters, Pacey and Joey, had a notable on-off relationship throughout the noughties classic, ultimately ending up together.

The duo are now slated to portray on-screen lovers in a romantic trilogy titled Happy Hours, which has commenced filming in New York City.

In addition to starring in the films, Katie is also taking on writing and directing duties, with Dawson's Creek fans eagerly anticipating their release.

Dawson's Creek leaves Prime Video on Wednesday, August 13
