As patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Princess Kate has often been spotted at Wimbledon to watch the world-famous tennis tournament. The Princess of Wales has been accompanied by a number of different people over the years, including her husband Prince William, 43, and two of their children Prince George, 11, and Princess Charlotte, 10.
As well as being accompanied by her royal relatives, the princess has also been joined by the likes of her sister, Pippa, and her parents Carole and Michael Middleton. While they are believed to be as interested in the sport as Kate is, the princess did once reveal that her dad made an embarrassing error which left her "mortified".
In a 2017 BBC documentary called Our Wimbledon presented by sports host Sue Barker, Kate told Sue how her dad tried to play it cool in front of former British number one tennis player, Tim Henman.
However, while Kate's dad is believed to know a fair deal about tennis, he reportedly ended up making an embarrassing mistake in front of Henman.
As reported by The Mirror, Kate said: "My father is not going to appreciate this, but we were walking past Tim Henman and we had just seen [Pete] Sampras play.
"My dad said very coolly: 'Hi Pete'. I was mortified!"
While that moment may have left Kate embarrassed, it hasn't stopped her from bringing her dad along to Wimbledon in the years prior, with Michael accompanying Kate to the tournament in 2021.

The father-and-daughter duo were pictured having a great time at the event, taking part in the Mexican wave and sharing jokes throughout the day.
It is likely that Michael and Carole Middleton will attend Wimbledon at some point this year.
The tournament is set to begin on Monday, and is set to end on July 13.
Princess Kate is likely to attend some of the matches, however it is not known whether she will be accompanied by Prince William or their three children, with Prince Louis having not yet made his Wimbledon debut.
