Harry Judd has weighed in on the ' curse,' admitting it's something that just keeps happening each year.

The 38-year-old McFly drummer, who took home the Glitter Ball trophy in 2011 with pro dancer Aliona Vilani, talked about how relationships often form between celebs and their dance partners on the show.

"It keeps happening every year," he told MailOnline in 2019. "I was lucky enough that my now wife was really supportive, and we trusted each other.

"But I think if there are any problems, then it will potentially highlight them. It seems like every year someone hooks up with someone. It's a shame."

It comes amid rumours of a blossoming romance between Pete Wicks and his dance partner Jowita Przysta.

An insider revealed to the Daily Mail: "Pete has fallen head over heels for Jowita. He thinks she is amazing in every way.

"The feeling is mutual from her side and things have definitely progressed between them. They are all over one another behind the scenes, in a way that a loved-up couple would be."

The source added: "It appears that we may have the first Strictly romance of the series, which is so exciting. They are the talk of the show.

"The other contestants are really happy for them. They are always smiling. It's lovely. It will certainly brighten up the show following the dreadful saga around Giovanni (Pernice) and Amanda Abbington."

However, the Polish dancer denies the claims.

"We have very good chemistry together as friends, we really get on well with each other, and we have so much fun together," she told the OK! magazine.

"And dancing is a bit like acting, so we're telling a story every night on Saturday night, and I think we're doing a pretty good job with that.

"But we're very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother, and I think we're going to stay friends for life, to be honest."
