The Repair Shop's Tuesday episode (19 August) saw the arrival of four unique items, with a giant plush hound dog leading the pack.
David and Carol were the first to enter the barn doors with their one-of-a-kind toy, a generous gift from Elvis' manager, Colonel Tom Parker, to the UK Elvis Presley fan club.
The task of restoring this sentimental item fell to toy restorers Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell, as it had been left in a poor state after decades on display.
Upon returning to the barn, Carol confessed her "nervousness" due to the toy's "bad state of repair", while David admitted: "We've become very fond of him, he's become part of our family. But, he's also part of the Elvis family, because of how important he is to Elvis fans. I'm just so looking forward to seeing him."
As Julie and Amanda revealed their handiwork, an amazed Carol exclaimed: "Oh my! He's wonderful, and he's taller!"
"That's brilliant," a stunned David added. "I don't know what to say. I'm just so grateful."
Inspecting and embracing the restored hound dog toy, David announced: "He's going to be touring all around the UK, raising lots and lots of money for charity."
Carol declared that the toy will be "loved" and "appreciated", with David adding: "You have definitely done all of us proud because that is stunning."
The duo carried on heaping praise upon Julie and Amanda after leaving the workshop, whilst also recognising the enormous challenge the two toy restoration experts had confronted.
"We are just astounded that Julie and Amanda took on such a big project," Carol revealed to the cameras. "Now, he's back as he was in 1972."

Elsewhere in Tuesday's instalment of The Repair Shop, clock specialist Steve Fletcher was handed a timepiece compendium, which turned out to be tricky to fix, reports Gloucestershire Live.
Suzie found herself tackling a leather shepherd's pouch with a poignant history, having endured conflict and years of wear, before being ruined by a family pet.
Wrapping up the programme, Mark faced an unusual assignment involving the restoration of a stitching device that hadn't functioned for twenty years.
The Repair Shop airs on BBC One on Tuesdays at 8pm
