Black Friday is almost upon us, and phone carriers have already started to cut the price of popular devices - including Samsung's best smartphone. Sky has reduced the price of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra by almost £200as its monthly contract price is cut down to £37 per month. The last time we covered this handset, it was priced at £43 a month for the same device, saving consumers £216.

With the deal, it means that tech fans can enjoy the device for around £1.22 a day, if split over an average 30-day month. However, shoppers should note that it includes a £12 upfront cost. Over the 36-month contract period, shoppers will pay £1,344 in total.

Sky does, however, allow buyers to swap their phones after the initial 24 months. One thing to note is that this price doesn't include the data plan, but this is added on after. Sky is offering 50GB of data for £10 per month as part of a new data plan offer.

When it comes to the premium Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, smartphone connoisseurs can enjoy 12GB of RAM, a 5000mAh battery, and a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

It also received four and a half stars out of five from our tech experts when they reviewed the device, so shoppers can be confident that they are getting one of the best smartphones on the market.

However, it's the perfect time to get a new smartphone upgrade thanks to some notable phone releases. iPhone fans can get the iPhone 17 Pro for £55 a month through Mobiles.co.uk including 400GB of data. There's also the new Google Pixel 10 phones to consider. Vodafone has the Pixel 10 Pro for as little as £29.50 a month with 5GB of data, thanks to its early Black Friday deals.

Going back to our Galaxy S25 Ultra review, tech editor David Snelling said: "Samsung has done it again and produced another spectacularly good smartphone. The Galaxy S25 Ultra looks great, features a stunning 6.9-inch screen, brilliant camera, long battery life, and that supremely quick Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

"It also gets all of those Galaxy AI upgrades that can organise your life, retouch your photos, chat to you like a human and bring live football scores straight to the home screen."

Nevertheless, he highlighted the steep cost of the handset and noted that the AI capabilities might prove rather daunting. He continued: "There's so much Artificial Intelligence now included that it can all feel slightly overwhelming, and only power users (and true AI geeks) are going to get close to scratching the surface of what this device can really do.

"That doesn't make this a bad phone. In fact, it's a very good phone. It just feels like all of Samsung's development is going into the software rather than boosting the hardware. Perhaps the AI boom for smartphones is because there's nothing else manufacturers can add or improve. You might ask yourself why you need a new phone at all - they say AI is the answer."
