Jaipur: A special team of city police on Friday arrested three individuals, including a murder accused, and seized two illegal firearms in the Kardhani . The accused have been identified as Manoj (26), a resident of Jhunjhunu, Deepak Kumar (22) and Abhishek Batar (19), both residents of Behror.
DCP (west) Amit Kumar said that probe revealed that Manoj was absconding following a murder case registered at Pacheri Kala police station in Jhunjhunu district. The Jhunjhunu police announced a reward of Rs 20,000 for his arrest. In addition to the murder charge, Manoj was also accused of a life-threatening attack involving the use of firearms, in an attempt to intimidate the complainant into a settlement. The police suspect that the accused travelled to Jaipur to carry out a criminal conspiracy, but the local police intercepted his movement on the intervening nights of Thursday-Friday and arrested the accused.
"All three accused arrested on Friday have criminal backgrounds. They came to the city with weapons to execute a criminal conspiracy, but the police team caught and arrested them," said an official.
