Jaipur: The Supreme Court on Friday asked Rajasthan High Court administration to produce the answer sheets of the English subject for candidates who scored less than 15 marks out of 50 in the Rajasthan Judicial Services (RJS)-2024 exam. Along with this, the registrar general of the high court was also asked to respond to the matter.

A division bench of three judges, including the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, gave this direction on Friday, while hearing the petitions of Anant Mishra and others. The petitioners said that the result of the main examination of RJS-2024 was declared on Oct 1, and on Oct 4, they came to know the marks of the answer sheet.

Since they were given less than 15 marks in English, despite the fact that they passed through National Law University (NLU) in English medium, they were not happy with the marks. The medium of some candidates has been English. In the English essay writing examination of the recruitment, they were given zero, 1, 2, 3, and 4 marks. In such a situation, their answer sheets were evaluated arbitrarily.

The Supreme Court, after hearing the case, sought a reply from the registrar general and directed him to present the answer sheets with less than 15 marks in the court. Notably, 3,000 candidates participated in the main examination for 222 posts of RJS. Out of these, 638 candidates were called for an interview after the main examination.
