Madurai: A construction worker was hacked to death at Nalankattalai in Tenkasi district on Saturday. The Kadayam police arrested his wife and her paramour on Sunday in connection with the case. Police said R Amos, 26, from Rajagopalaperi, was working for Anthony Denis, 35, a mason from Singamparai village in Tirunelveli district. He stopped working for Anthony three months ago after he discovered that Anthony misbehaved with his wife Nandini. On Saturday, Anthony and Amos quarrelled at the Amos's house over his absence from work. Suddenly, Anthony attacked Amos with a sickle. Amos suffered injuries to his neck and died on the spot. Police learned that Nandini was having an affair with Anthony, and arrested them on murder charges.
