Ranchi: The police on Saturday said it arrested a man for killing two teenagers in Dhurwa earlier this week by slitting their throats and was on the lookout for four others, including a girl and her friend.
DIG cum Ranchi SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha stated that two bodies found near a pond in Balsiring village under Dhurwa police station area on Sunday night were of Khudia Munda (17) and his cousin Birsa Munda (16), both residents of Chamdih village in Khunti district.
"Dipesh said Khudia was killed for raping a girl. The girl had informed her boyfriend about the incident who decided to eliminate Khudia instead of registering the matter with the police. Birsa was killed as he was a witness to the crime," Sinha said.
The girl had called Khudia to Ranchi on the pretext of meeting him. Her boyfriend and his friends then killed him with sharp weapons.A bike was also seized.TNN
