CBSE Restructures Post-Result Process: Students to Access Answer Sheets Before Verification or Re-Evaluation

Nagpur: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a significant change to its post-result grievance redressal system for the 2025 Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Under the new protocol, students will be required to obtain photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets before applying for verification of marks or re-evaluation. This move aims to enhance transparency and help students make well-informed decisions.

Previously, the CBSE followed a linear process, requiring students to first apply for verification of marks, then request photocopies of answer sheets, and finally, if necessary, apply for re-evaluation. The revised system simplifies this into two primary steps: obtain a photocopy of the evaluated answer sheet and apply for verification of marks, re-evaluation, or both.

This strategic change allows students to thoroughly review their evaluated answer sheets before deciding on further action.

The CBSE will release detailed guidelines and procedures for obtaining photocopies, re-verification, and revaluation after the 2025 board results are declared. "Students and parents are advised to check the official CBSE website for updates," the board stated.

The updated process is expected to improve the efficiency of grievance handling, reduce unnecessary applications, and boost confidence in the evaluation system.
