The Directorate of Government Examinations, Chennai, has released the official timetable for the TN HSE +2, +1 (arrear) and SSLC 2026 public examinations. Class 12 exams will be conducted from March 2 to March 26, while Class 10 exams are scheduled from March 11 to April 6. The supplementary examination for Class 11 arrear candidates will be held from March 3 to March 27.   
   
The practical examination schedule has also been announced. Class 12 practicals will be conducted from February 9 to February 14, Class 11 arrear practicals from February 16 to February 21, and Class 10 practicals from February 23 to February 28. Tentative results for Class 12 are expected on May 8, whereas Class 11 and Class 10 results are scheduled for May 20.

For Class 10, approximately 8.7 lakh students from 12,485 schools will appear at 4,113 centres. The examination timings are from 10:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., with 10:00 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. reserved for reading the question paper, and 10:10 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for verification of particulars by candidates.

Class 11 arrear candidates will follow a similar structure. Part-I includes language subjects, Part-II English, and Part-III includes vocational and core subjects ranging from Chemistry and Accountancy to Nursing and Textile Technology.
Tamil Nadu SSLC exam timetable 2026
The SSLC examination will be conducted in four parts, covering language, mathematics, science, social science, and optional language subjects.
   
Examinations for all classes are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 1:15 p.m., with time allocated for reading the question paper and verification of particulars. Students and parents are advised to check the official timetable for complete details.
