Priyanka Chopra is now gearing up for the release of her next, 'Heads Of State' also starred John Cena and Idris Elba. The 'Fashion' actress had appeared on Jimmy Fallon's 'The Tonight Show' where she spoke about her film and her life lately. She opened up on how daughter Malti Marie now goes to school and her schedule is more packed that Priyanka's. She also revealed that she has been shooting for a film in India but the family had to be in New York due to Nick's Broadway schedule.
Talking more about Malti, PC revealed she already has a taste for good music. "She’s the light of our lives," said Priyanka adding that Malti is a little comedian. While recounting their recent trip to Disney World, Priyanka Chopra shared a delightful glimpse into her daughter’s world. “She wears her Moana dress all day long,” Priyanka said with a smile, revealing that Moana 2 currently tops her little one’s list of favorite films.
But it’s not just Disney that dominates—her daughter also has a surprisingly eclectic taste in music. “She listens to ‘APT’—that’s her jam,” Priyanka said, before singing a few lines on the spot with Jimmy Fallon. “It’s her morning anthem. Every single day.”
Curious, Jimmy asked whether her daughter ever tunes into her father’s music. “Does she listen to the Jonas Brothers at all?” he wondered. Priyanka burst out laughing and replied, “I don’t think she recognizes them yet. But she does call them the Doughnut Brothers,” a revelation that had everyone—including Jimmy—howling with laughter.
Jimmy further quipped, “You need to trademark that right now. I’d totally buy that merch. Doughnut Brothers dolls? Move over, Labubu.”
Meanwhile, while talking about 'Heads Of State', PC revealed she accidentally offended John Cena. She said, "They’re both the most incredible guys. I was very nervous. John is like the opposite of what I expected. I’d never met him before." Thus, to break the ice with him, the actress started with a joke. She said, "You know, I came in expecting not to see him,” referencing the iconic “You can’t see me” meme. She added, "The first scene we were doing together, I just went for it—I did the pose in front of him like ‘I don’t see you."
Thats when Idris hinted her to not do that pose in front of John. "I was like, now I’ve offended him," said PC.
At that moment, John and Idris were standing next to each other. As soon as she did the pose, Idris subtly signalled her to stop and told her not to do that in front of John. Idris later told the actress that John doesn't like it when someone does that pose to his face.
