Virat Kohli's like on Avneet Kaur's bold picture created a huge chatter and the cricketer issued a clarification regarding it. He said, "I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

While his clarification further became a point of discussion, actress Rakul Preet Singh has now reacted to it. When she was asked about the couple she's hugely inspired by, she said in an interview with Shubhankar Mishra, "The couple I am extremely inspired by is Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. I think the entire nation is inspired by them.”

She further shared her opinion on the Virat-Avneet controversy. She said, "We are so jobless that we even know that his one like increased 2 million followers for the girl (Avneet Kaur). How does it matter? It’s so sad that it became a news.”

Talking about Virat's clarification, Rakul said, "That is very personal decision. I think when you are a celebrity at Virat’s level, everything that you do comes under the scanner. Even if you follow a profile, it becomes news.”

She was then asked if Virat's clarification was forced, Rakul said, "A person evolves and changes over time. He might be a rebel back then but now he is a changed man, maybe because he wants to change. Who are we to assume that initially he was very expressive and now he is forced to issue statements for a single like. Everyone has their journey, so these bots that we have on Instagram, they don’t really have any work. They only follow who wore what when and what have they been doing lately.”

Recently, even Tamannaah Bhatia issued a clarification for her like on a viral video of Deepika Padukone. Netizens were reminded of Virat and Avneet issue after Tamannaah's clarification.
