A marketing specialist from Business Insider reviewed 1587 Prime co-owned by Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce
On Halloween Day, Kelsey Hudson shared her dining experience at 1587 Prime Steakhouse on Business Insider. Her group of four spent about $800 on a special dinner that included cocktails, appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. Hudson noted that, unlike many steakhouses that are dark and stuffy, the Chiefs’ dynamic duo’s restaurant featured ambient mood lighting, from the staircase lights to the small gold lamps on each table. As a huge Taylor Swift fan, Hudson was happy to find a subtle nod to the superstar in 1587 Prime’s cocktail menu. Right below Kelce’s Big Yeti drink was The Alchemy, a vodka cocktail. For the main course, she ordered twin lobster tails. She explained the lobster was cooked to perfection and had a unique smokiness. The servers were polite, accommodating, and answered every question insightfully.
Hudson revealed the restaurant has a dress code: business casual or dressy evening wear. She liked that local businesses were involved through various partnerships. The restaurant served beverages from three local distilleries—Holladay, J. Rieger & Co., and Tom’s Town—and two local breweries, Boulevard Brewing Co. and KC Bier Company. She noticed the drinks had subtle nods to everyone close to the Chiefs duo, such as a drink named "Queen B" for Brittany Mahomes and "The Big Red" cheeseburger for Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who is a fan of cheeseburgers. She also shared a picture of the Big Yeti cocktail, which featured a large ice cube with “1587” engraved on it. “15” is Patrick Mahomes' jersey number, and “87” is Travis Kelce’s jersey number.
