Fans reaction on Devin Williams justification Soon after the match was over, MLB insider Bryan Hoch took to X and delivered a statement given by Devin Williams.

“Nothing’s working right now. All I can do is continue to work and get some better results here. … I wish there was an easy answer, but I’m not really sure. It’s not a good feeling, not to be able to get the job done for the team. They put us in a great position to win there, and I couldn’t get it done today."

Though the statement clearly depicts that Williams is upset with his performance, fans are not taking it lightly.

Though fans getting angry is justified, but it was just a simple game and one should not be getting angry on a loss. Well that's what we also thought before diving deep into the details
What happened on the Yankees vs Blue Jays match? The match started off quite well for the New York Yankees as they had a lead of one-run. Fans were confident that the pitchers will handle, but it turns out they put their hopes on the wrong pitcher.

As soon as Williams took to the mound, things turned out to be in Blue Jays favor. Williams gave away two hits, and zero strikeouts, in a match which was crucial for the Yankees. With such poor performance, fans are bound to get angry. However, it should be considered that the player they are getting angry at is the one that has a 11.25 ERA as a closer.

Will Williams be able to rise to the occassion? Or will he be put on the bench as predicted by fans? Though fans are hoping for the latter, it is still too soon to make any bets.
