Veteran UK broadcaster Piers Morgan said Donald Trump would be the Tiger Woods of politics if he wins the election as that would be the greatest comeback. On Fox News, Morgan said he has the same feeling now as he had felt in 2016 about Trump's victory. He said Trump has a blunt way of going about things and his rhetoric is something controversial and disappointing but at the international stage, he is respected as a tough guy who gets things done. Piers Morgan said economy and immigration are the main issues in this election and Americans trust Donald Trump on both the issues more than Kamala Harris.
In a different interview, Piers Morgan said he thinks Trump would win but nothing would surprise him as this is going to be a very close election like most of the recent polls in US. "Trump has extraordinary energy for a guy nearly 80 years old."
"Yes, he makes mistakes, he sometimes says crazy stuff. But what you can't deny is that for a guy approaching 80, he's got remarkable energy and part of it is because he's never had an alcoholic drink, he's never had a cigarette, he never had illegal drugs. Isn't that a remarkably pure life for someone his reputation," Morgan said.
The broadcaster also revealed his private call with Donald Trump soon after the assassination attempt on him. "Trump is a common sense candidate this election. He is not perfect. He is not an angel. He is many things that I've lambasted him for. But he speaks in common man's language."
Kamalay's entry to the election fray was the 'October surprise' coming in July, Piers Morgan said adding that Kamala Harris did good in the debate but her speeches other than that were 'disaster'. Trump would be better for the economy, Piers Morgan said.
