Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that its iconic i10 brand has crossed the 33 lakh global sales milestone, marking a significant achievement since its debut in 2007. This includes over 20 lakh units sold in India and 13 lakh units exported to more than 140 countries, solidifying the i10’s position as one of the most successful models in Hyundai’s lineup.

The Grand i10 Nios, the latest iteration, continues to cater to Indian customers with three powertrain options — a 1.2-litre Kappa Petrol Manual, a 1.2-litre Kappa Petrol AMT, and a 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel Kappa Petrol with CNG. With consistent updates and improvements, Hyundai has managed to maintain an average annual sale of over one lakh units of the i10 series in India alone.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios: A Preferred Family ChoiceIntroduced in 2019, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios surpassed the 4 lakh sales mark last year, reinforcing its popularity in the Indian market. Priced between ₹5.92 lakh and ₹8.56 lakh (ex-showroom), it is available across five variants — Era, Magna, Corporate, Sportz, and Asta.
Notably, over 45% of Grand i10 Nios buyers in FY 24-25 were first-time car owners, and 83% of buyers were married individuals, positioning it as an ideal family car. The states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Haryana have emerged as the top markets for the Grand i10 Nios.
Future Growth and Localization DriveUnsoo Kim, Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India, highlighted that the Grand i10 Nios currently achieves up to 91.3% localization for the domestic market and 91.4% localization for export models. He added, “With our upcoming plant in Maharashtra, we intend to expand exports to emerging as well as developed markets, increasing the contribution of exports to overall sales and solidifying our commitment to Make in India, For the World.”
The i10 brand’s strong global footprint, impressive localization rates, and focus on evolving consumer demands continue to make it a vital pillar in Hyundai’s growth story.
